Phyllis Keels is unashamedly a hopeless romantic, who is also an enthusiast about Viking history and culture. She has been writing for over twenty years and is the author of one novel, one on the way, and a children’s book that she also illustrated. She has written almost a dozen song lyrics, some of which have already been put to music, and a short story or two. When she is not weaving tales of romance, intrigue or the innocence of childhood, Phyllis tackles the Vikings of the corporate world as the head of a project management office. She teaches Bible study several times a year and lives in North Carolina with her daughter and Phyllis’ Labrador retriever, Emma. Phyllis is well into her next book titled Daldriada. Check out the excerpt from it on the New Book tab of this site.In 2008 Phyllis and her friend, Sandy Ardoin, started a writer's group and meet regularly to for both critique and encouragement. Sandy's expertise has been valuable to Phyllis and has helped Phyllis' hone her writing skills. "Sandy's books are some of the best I've read. Her characters have become favorite friends of mine and her delightful sense of humor just makes me happy! Please visit Sandy's website www.sandraardoin.com. I think you'll be impressed and hooked, just like I am." Phyllis' daughter, Julie, is a very talented photographer. Some of her best work is posted on her website www.jkkphoto.blogspot.com/ Her son, Alan, is an equally talented artist. Some of his work is posted on Julie's site www.jkkphoto.blogspot.com/. The author hopes one day to incorporate her love of animals into a volunteer program in her area to rescue dogs from animal shelters and train them as therapy dogs for nursing home and hospital patients.
